1. The Lake Nicauraguan Shark ( a race of the bull shark Carcharinus leucas), although it is hard to believe that this is not a seperate species!!!

2. The American short tailed shrew, Blarina brevicauda, can produce enough venom in its salivary glands to kill 20 mice. The water shrew of Europe, Neomys fodiens , produces venom in its salivary glands to stun frogs and small fish and the male platypus, Ornithorynchus anatinus, has spurs on its hind legs that produce venom.

3. You would think that a photon of light would be able to get out from the center of the sun in seconds or at least minutes. (In a vacuum it would be 2.66 seconds ) After all it is traveling 300,000,000 m/sec ! But a photon has the same problems that you do when in traffic, obstacles keep impeding it's progress. The best estimate for the time it would take a photon to exit from the center of the sun is 170,000 years according to Romas Mitalas an astronomer in Western Ontario.
